The more you speak against him, the more she will defend him and their relationship. Stay neutral and let her work it out. Odds are it will end soon.

Worst case scenario, she'll marry him and get divorce in a couple of years. Its a free country and she is an adult so as much as you want to stop it, don't beat yourself if you can't.

+1

There are a lot of dreams people in their 20s cam have that older people have moved past. Remind/help her to remember that her 20s don't last forever and she should experience some of these.

Mr. 50 will still be there but by that time closer to 60 which may be not as palatable.

I was 45, my wife 26 when we met. Celebrated 24 years together a few weeks ago. Better every day!

Dating an older man in your early twenties for a while can be fun and harmless. It’s good to connect with different types of people. It’s not good for a serious relationship because of the life phase mismatch. But not all dating needs to be going somewhere long term.

She is 25 year old and dating a 50 something year old dude.. Is there anything we can do?

If you or your daughter dated someone who was your parents age how long did it last? Should we say something?

What's your analysis of why she is doing it?
Is he charismatic? Wealthy? Her professor, therapist or boss? A cult leader?

Why are you saying taking? Twice? Do you mean dating?

I lasted 2 years, until I graduated college (dated him Jr and Sr year). When I realized I wasn't going to change his mind about kids, I broke up with him (I wanted kids, he didn't).

Your life is really bizarre if you think about Trump when talking about sugar daddy’s of some internet stranger.

My wife dated a 50 year old when she was 18. It lasted for a summer. Slightly different situation because she was going off to college at the end, but I still wouldn't expect this to last long.

Her parents didn't know, but there's not really anything you can do either way. There's nothing you can say that she hasn't thought of either. I'd let it burn itself out.
