My kids were never filthy at the end of the day 🤷‍♀️ And sensitive skin/eczema issues made daily baths a bad idea. But it is a nice bedtime routine.

This, unless there is some particular special reason they are dirty and need a bath (e.g., making mud pies, fell in the aandbox).

We’ve done daily baths for both of ours since the day their umbilical stumps fell off. I think it’s a nice bedtime routine, although I suspect at some point they’ll transition to mornings for better hair? I have an early school aged one and a toddler, so maybe this will change as they get older, but I truly don’t understand how people don’t bath daily because my kids are FILTHY at the end of the day. At 5 they were still showering with mom or dad. We never did baths except when they were under 6 months.

Also they do love mixing it up with a shower sometimes, so that might be worth a try.

My 3 year old does because he loves it and he’s all about routine, it’s not needed for hygiene.

My older kids were showering by 5. Maybe your kid would hate that less?

On school days, my kids are required to bathe every day. We let things slide on the weekend if they're not super active but it feels like they have a birthday party every weekend, and after those, they must bathe.

We never did daily baths. Not necessary.

Could it have to do with the time of day you are doing it that makes it less tolerable?

My kids are older now, but we used to keep food coloring in the bathroom and let them add it to the tub as it was filling.

Son is 5 and he hates taking a bath. It's like pulling teeth to get him to take one . Would it hurt not to take one everyday ? What does everyone else do with thier little kids ?
