Why are you so heavily invested in stocks you should be setting up an index fund with target date that will take money out of stocks and into bonds and money market

We were OP age in 2008. We didn't sell low. Made it up later.

I’m down $1.25M on paper. Ugh. Was feeling pretty confident that I could retire next year. Now, not so sure.

If it makes you feel any better mine was down about 11% YTD this morning. Better than I thought. Next week will be bad too and I'm planning not to look anymore. Nothing I can do.

I can’t look either. We can’t fix Trump’s plan to destroy our country so I will just protect myself from feeling hopeless about the accounts for now.

I looked a week ago and it was down. Since the huge downturn days of the last week, I can't bring myself to check. I'm 55 and will need my retirement 7-10 years from now. Is it reasonable to stay the course and hope that I make losses back in the next decade or is that foolhardy? I just don't want to think about it.
