No. Even if demand goes down prices will still go up now, post tariffs.

This. People are not changing their travel plans.

Tourists from countries which have issued a travel warning to the US, including many European countries, are definitely not traveling to the US as much. I heard as much as a 25% drop on inbound flights. But that only impacts your return flight, potentially. If you want to fly to an international tourist destination, that destination is going to be packed, because any recession from the global trade war will probably not have hit by this summer.

Please do not go to Rome during Jubilee year.

No way of knowing for sure, but I think the best bet is probably to book now.

Unlikely that prices would drop drastically even if everything crashes and people don't travel -- the airlines will protect their pricing and not drop it too much.

I have booked a few vacations this year and am hoping to get cheap or free upgrades to business class, however they are being snatched up far out so I don't think there will be any drops in price. The cabins and seats months ahead are already full including business and first class. Ughhh I was hoping to save money .

This anecdotal and a small sample, but priced a flight to L.A. a couple weeks ago and purchased this morning. In the couple weeks, the flight price dropped a couple hundred. Went from $750 to $500. Also, the flight was purchased a week out from departure, which is usually when airfares are more expensive.

They will. The stock market is tanking, layoffs are happening, and people are having no choice but to start hoarding cash if they don’t want their families to be homeless and without food. The next few months will be eye opening as these new tariffs start impacting our daily lives.

It’s anybody’s guess.

I do know govt employees who cancelled spring break. It's not zero.

Most do seem to be continuing with already booked plans, though not booking new things or switching to less expensive options. If they'd already scheduled and purchased flights for a summer vacation, I'd expect most to keep it rather than take a financial hit to cancel.

This is what I’m seeing too. And even if there were cancellations I think travel vendors would rather keep prices high and not be at full capacity then get consumers expecting discounts.

I still need to book tickets for domestic travel in June and July of this year. Should I book now or give it a week or two? Are fares dropping? Do we expect they might with the uncertainty and drops in the financial markets and economy overall?
