Electronics are generally a bit more expensive in the UK/EU. I doubt you would save significant money, especially enough to put yourself in violation of US customs regulations.
Tourists can get a refund of VAT for goods they purchase in the EU subject to certain rules. Not sure if it’s a full refund or only part of the VAT. If the euro depreciates against the dollar given the current changes (no idea if that’s likely or not), it might become worthwhile.

With the announcement of tariffs, presumably there’ll be a strong incentive to buy some products overseas while on vacation.
If the tariff on iPhones and other Apple products like laptops goes from 20 to 34%, would it make more sense to buy overseas? Aside from the obvious risk of not being able to return a product to the original store if there’s a problem (or is there a worldwide guarantee?) plus making sure all packaging has been removed so it doesn’t look new when coming into the US, are there are drawbacks I’m not thinking of?
