OP here: that's awesome, thanks for letting us know. Did the apps last night and hopefully they are approved with similar speed. If so, we will get to IAD airport early for spring break to do a pre-departure walk-up interview in Terminal B.

OP here: ha this is brilliant. Will do that for them. We have an international trip in 10 days, so will do the app now and see if we can just do the interview when we land at IAD. I don't think we will have the time to do the interviews before we depart.

An easier way to do it is use +. Everything after the + is irrelevant. So firstlast@gmail.com is the same as firstlast+kidname@gmail.com. Much easier to remember.

Do it now but you may not get conditional approval for everyone in the next 10 days (or in time for your return). But worth a shot! I think ours was completed in 2 weeks.

If you have a gmail address just add a period (".") between a letter and login.gov reads is as a unique address. so LarlaLarlo@gmail.com, Larla.Larlo@gmail.com, L.arlaLarlo@gmail.com, etc. I did this for my kids and gave us all the same password for simplicity. My kids were processed without a fee; I don't remember how they confirmed that their parent (me, or DH) were global entry members but it was easy.

They also waived the interview for my kids (ages 5 and 8) but probably because they had GE when the were babies (right before covid hit) and although these were new applications since you can't renew, their info was on file.

When you sign up a kid the system notes they are under 18 and asks if a parent is a member, you then put in your GE info, that waives the fee.

Yes, you have to create email addresses for each kid. Once you’re approved, you can schedule in-person appointments for them. Very quick, and my kids got a sticker

Do I need to create a Login.gov profile for each of my kids (age 5 and age 2)?

They don't have their own email addresses yet, so do I need to create an email address for each of them?

I tried to see if I could add my kids under my Login.gov profile, but there does not seem to be an option for that. The Global Entry instructions for adding kids to the program are scant.

Anyone go through this recently? How do they waive the fee for the kids if they have their own accounts? I am a Global Entry member.
