People are willing to pay extra to NOT buy a Tesla even if it’s a better car. Elon has a ally ruined that company!

No tesla is considered the gold standard in 2025.

I had a 2017 Audi a3 etron for 7 years and it was phenomenal. (Plug in hybrid). I was in the market last year and found the q4 etron finishes to be subpar and the larger etron was too big. The q6 recently caught my eye, I think I am going to have to take a look. The interior finishes of an Audi (and the upgraded stereo) always draw me in. Then when you have a powerful electric engine? Even better.

OP said luxury car interior - the Tesla Y is the opposite of that.

There have been some amazing lease deals lately on Audi's, Polestar 3's and BMWs. Check out leasehackr forum to get a sense. I looked at the Audi and was not really that impressed - ended up with a Polestar.

Then buy a used one so no big depreciation hit.

Luxury cars are more expensive to maintain because they use more expensive parts, and have stricter maintenance schedules. But they are usually nicer inside and more fun to drive. Depends on what you're looking for. Buy a CR-V or RAV4 if you just want a utilitarian basic compact SUV.

I’m usually not a fan of leasing but perhaps consider it if the numbers are favorable. Audi EVs depreciate rapidly (though to be fair this is not a problem exclusive to Audi)

Pay a broker to negotiate the lease for you.

I think I am the perfect use case for an all electric. I drive about 5,000 miles a year, mostly to the airport, grocery, and gym. I want more of a luxury vehicle interior (not spartan/austere). Will be selling a 6 year old Porsche.

Does anyone have positive or negative experiences to share about the Audi?
