PP you replied to. Why????
Not the PP you're responding to But presumably the PP got money to repair the damage, then just took the money and didn't repair the car.

But once I got a bad scrape in the side of a vehicle that pulled the paint off in a little spot, and then I noticed it starting to rust. There are some ways to address that without a full repair/paint job, but they would look terrible, so I sucked it up and paid a body shop to fix the dent/scrape and repaint (which means repainting the entire side of the vehicle because otherwise it won't blend. It was annoying but I didn't want the damage to get worse with time, and I didn't want a crappy looking fix that wouldn't last. It was worth it to spend a few hundred to get it fixed properly.
But like minor bumper dents and scratches? Eh, we live in the city and park on the street. No point in fixing because it will happen again. If I cared that much, I'd get a bumper cover or something.
