Mercedes GLS is better. X7s sit in the lot a very long time for some reason.

Looks better than many alternatives.

Yes, BMWs are expensive to maintain, but so are other import brands like Porsche, Mercedes, and others. You pay a price for a superior product, but if the attributes those brands offer don't appeal to you, you can certainly save money by looking elsewhere. There's something for every taste and price point out there.

Funny. We have a Volvo xc90 and my husband wants to sell it for an x7. We also own an x3, which I love driving. I don’t love driving a three row car but we have three young kids so when we’re all together, it’s necessary

Very expensive to buy and maintain (once the maintenance package ends). All parts are more expensive than you'd expect. Putting that aside, we love ours. Incredibly easy to drive. Quick and nimble for a car its size. Interface is fine in my view, I know others have a different take.

Looking for a 3-row luxury family SUV. This one came highly-recommended.

Does anyone have an X7 with young kids and how do you like it?
