Weirdly enough I know a JD Vance style republican IRL and I've asked him about this. It's not a priority but he doesn't get why we wouldn't do it if we can.

I’d take Alberta and Saskatchewan, the two wealthiest provinces on a per capita basis. All the other provinces have been wrecked by decades of lefty politics and massive immigration.
