Most of the rinks in the area will have a public skate on weekends. Just check schedules at each one.

Plus they have recess at the rink where you can skate around and get more comfortable on your skates.

The fairfax ice rink has free skate every evening and weekend.

MedStar has public skate every mid-afternoon (around 2 o'clock) and evening (around 6 o'clock), Monday through Friday. On weekends, they have at least one morning, early afternoon, or evening public skate.

We did lessons at Cabin John and included in the cost was admission to the public skate session that immediately followed which gave super practice!

The rink I've found with the most public skating times available is the Fairfax Ice Rink. They have them nearly every day of the week, including weekends.

Hello! I have a 8 year old starting ice skating with a 30 min class per week. I want to bring her to practice a couple of times and realized the rink all have public sessions during school/work hours lol (think 10am - 11:30am during the week)! How do you manage practice times?
