This. If they actually wanted to make District residents safer, they'd be focusing on drug use (including fix the marijuana loophole and the attendant crime and lifestyle issues it creates), juvenile crime (and the related problems of truancy and parental abandonment), repeat offenders, community policing initiatives, and crimes against businesses that are pushing people to close or making it hard to be profitable.
They just want to deport people and harass young black people engaged in non-violent offenses. This will help exactly no one.
