Borough Market is fun, but very crowded

Friends' kids studying in London all love a cheeky Nando's

The River Bus is great

I feel like the Tower of London is a must do for any first visit to London. It's been a tourist attraction for 300 years for a reason.

My 16yo got a kick out of feeling grownup enough to drink. Maybe go up high for a view (eg the Eye, Sky garden, etc). My kids really liked a Jack the Ripper walking tour. Walking tours can be a great way to learn a little history in an engaging and often entertaining way. There’s an Asian food chain called Wagamama’s. Both my teens love it.

Can just go to Clarendon for that.

Food- definitely check out some of the markets- Borough Market is probably the most famous, but it's definitely very bougie/touristy at this point.

This also looks good and has great reviews online at places like reddit.

I love Brixton as well- a nice range of options from all over the world.

Why not ask your son what he would like to see/experience if you do not know? Give him either a deadline to make a list and then pick and book together, or pick a day and a few hours to discuss and book activites.

I had no idea! I’m pretty against supporting the KC right now, but what a neat idea.

As for England, he’s not one to research, but wants ideas. As it’s a birthday trip, I want him to be a bit spoiled as he’s normally not!

Hello!

I am taking my soon to be 18 yo on a trip to London to celebrate his big birthday. We are going in July so it will be hot.

We are going to the final Black Sabbath show for 1 full day(his choice!), but have 4 additional days.

Neither of us have ever been before. He’s not really a museum kid, but very into music and food.

Help me out! Is there anything that is a must see that I should be booking now? Any good deals that I should look out for?

Thank you.
