Twitter was bought using Tesla Stock as collateral; rumor has it that SpaceX funding (his share) is also based on a loan from Tesla Stock.

Twitter wont sell nearly close to what he paid for - it was over-priced then.

This. I think "MAGA core" dislikes Elon and looks at him as the "useful idiot". Once he's done with whatever he's tasked to do, he's out. They don't care about EVs and environment and couldn't care less about Elon. Meanwhile, he's busy losing marketshare in other markets and the US. I'm in the market for a car and would have bought a Tesla if this was 2023. Not anymore..

Lansing Grand River Assembly (Michigan):
This plant, located at 920 Townsend St, Lansing, Michigan 48921, produces the Cadillac CT4 and CT5.
Spring Hill Manufacturing (Tennessee):
Located at 100 Saturn Parkway, Spring Hill, Tennessee 37174, this plant manufactures the Cadillac XT6 and Lyriq.
Arlington Assembly (Texas):
Located at 2525 E Abram, Arlington, Texas 76010, this plant produces the Cadillac Escalade.

Since most auto companies embraced NAFTA and free trade even US cars built in USA use parts from all over the world. Same with foreign makers with US factories.

Teslas are mechanically simpler, so many more of the parts are domestically sourced. So in many ways this will end up as a way to make Teslas cheaper via government action. Is this true? How much would we expect to see as discount if we are shopping for new car
