But all of them will have a broad range of extracurriculars. Most schools have afternoon programming (you have to pay a fee per class) with a variety of sports, cooking classes, music, etc.

Of all the schools I think Ashburton is the most overcrowded. I think Bannockburn and Carderock Springs are less crowded.

It's World Bank central. Tons of international diversity. My neighbors hail from all over the world.

Lots of diplomats and world bankers due to the Mass Ave corridor. Cute community almost no economic diversity save for the few maid's kids who sneak in and the divorce special apts behind the Giant

Bethesda elementary maybe overcrowded in grades, but the principal has pushed for as many more resources as possible to deal with it.

I actually think the school has become increasingly more diverse, when I consider how the student population has changed since my older child (now in high school ) was at BE until now when I have a younger child still there.

Wyngate has a big international presence because of NIH. It's not overcrowded.

You may want to avoid these overcrowded schools:
Ashburton
Bannockburn
Bethesda
Burning Tree
Farmland

Other schools are not overcrowded, but that doesn't mean they'll have small class sizes.

+1 If by diversity you mean international you'll find that at these schools and basically any Bethesda or Potomac school. The diversity is mostly white Latin American, AAPI families from many different countries, and ME families. There are fewer from Africa.

Beverly Farms is a fantastic school! The families are down to earth, the teachers are fantastic, and the whole school just has a warm and supportive vibe!

We are relocating and looking to rent in Bethesda or Potomac. Are the elementary schools in the area overcrowded? Some more than others? Looking for any guidance. We are coming from overseas where the kids have been going to international schools, so schools with lots of diversity and extra-curricular activities are of high importance. Thanks in advance!
