What are the rules to make this transition happen? Do we have to wait until the season is fully over?

I hate it. I don’t understand why tryouts can’t wait until later in the spring and offers go out when the season is over. It’s a 10 month season yet kids placement within the current club is made mostly in the fall.
I don’t get it - I’m a team manager and it’s not that hard to register kids over the summer months. What good are March offers?
Which tryouts have happened so far? We are looking around and it seems they haven't started yet for most teams. A lot of teams don't make offers until May.
Top teams in MLS Next, ECNL, GA have already held tryouts and formed their teams for next year. It trickles down tier by tier through May.
Correct and kids who may be happy on their current team not wanting to move deal with the kids who now thinks they are better than everyone else because they got an MLS offer or GA offer. So now they talk down to other kids who may not want to drive to New Jersey or all over for youth soccer.
It takes the fun away. I hate Memorial Day tourneys more as the team is already split apart and the kid who used to take a pk is now being told that I am better because I moved to a bigger higher team
This sounds like poor leadership and parenting on both sides.
We are leaving and it does not change our families commitment to our club. My kid is focused on their goals and does not disparage anyone if their goals or different. Not a recruiting problem. This is a leadership problem.
