You consider basic economics and reality to be a "conspiracy". That's an odd take. YDY

As Canada and Europe are boycotting American goods, services and brands, the private sector will follow.

Laying off hundreds of thousands of government employees, whose jobs were accretive to the US Economy, costs GDP.

Laying off huge parts of the IRS costs the US hundreds of billions in revenue.

It has been clear that Trump wants to tank the economy and the government. That is what traitors do.

Everyone is waiting. Companies are waiting - they are laying off people and pausing M&A and waiting to make any new announcements. Everyone is waiting - waiting for Trump to stop acting crazy, for the money to start flowing again and for the government to go back to working again and for everything to go back to normal.

Will it? Or is this state permanent for the next 4 years, in which case, the US economy and the world economy will fall off a cliff? No one knows. We're all waiting to find out.

I’m a 2014 interview, Trump said “that when the economy crashes, that’s when we’re great again”. So, yeah.

Tariffs, unemployment, the student loan debacle, Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security cuts, shutting down of federal agencies and firing the watchdogs, oh, there is going to be a crash. Mike he rat poster said, though, it’s by design.

Just saw a post on social media from a worker at Ford who expects to get laid off any day now. Apparently Ford is pulling back on EVs and their plant at Avon has been on indefinite hold. Tech has been slashing jobs left and right. Same for pharma/biotech. So many companies are now outsourcing tons of white collar jobs to India, China, and Eastern Europe where American office job labor can be replaced for a fraction of the cost. I know outsourcing is not new, it it seems like there is a new tidal wave of outsourcing occuring right now because American labor is simply too expensive. We have layoffs and hiring freezes for virtually every sector of the economy now. Add on to it a potential massive amounts of jobs that are going to be slashed in the federal govt and there is basically going to be no more consumer base left soon to buy stuff and keep the economy humming along. We also have all do the uncertainty and inflation pressures due to the never ending trade and tarriff war escalation that is going to put a damper on the economy. It all sums up to a grim outlook, imo. And how exactly is the US going to combat a severe recession? They're blowing up our deficit by$4T more debt due to the proposed tax cuts. Where's the money going to come from when they need to spend even more deficit to combat the recession? Anyone else feel very bad about the economy and where we are headed? I feel like the bottom is going to fall out soon due to all of the jobs losses, and the US is headed for a very bad recession.
