dryer is 20 years old and washer is 15. i don't know if replacing will help me get a better sales price,or at least recoup the cost, and realtors know? seems this may be my best option as i already paid 400 7 years ago to fix this washer's motor and other items.
To take the dryer off, set up a couple plastic sawhorses beside it with some boards on top. Slide the dryer over onto the sawhorse platform. Do your work on the washer, then slide the dryer back on and reconnect.
Citation: I had to do this with a Maytag set once. No linebackers in sight.
