Do we wait and take her to see an eye doctor on Monday or that’s not needed either and it’s the kind of thing that just goes away on its own?

Never had an eye injury before so not sure how to handle. It looks disturbing since the white part of her eye is so red, but maybe it’s not a big deal.

Ummmmm no.

Go to an ophthalmologist or at least an optometrist.

Urgent care is for boo boos and minor prescription stuff.

I'd go to urgent care rather than DCUMing this. It's her eye. If it's nothing, welp, you wasted a bit of time and some money. If it's something that can be healed faster/better with care (eyedrops, opthalmologic ointment so it doesn't get infected...), then you'll have faster access to it.

Skin scrapes, I wait. Eye injuries, I get a professional's opinion.

I’d go to an eye doctor. I’ve seen this guy before and he was very good (in case you’re in NoVA). https://www.premiereyecenter.net/

Don't mess with eye stuff, but I'd see the eye doctor.

It’s a burst blood vessel, unless she damaged the globe (unlikely if she doesn’t have pain) it just goes away in a few weeks

If she sees ok, no pain, no headaches, etc., she'll be fine. I couldn't count the number of burst blood vessels in my eyes I had as a kid.
