Subject: Specific MoCo neighborhood for young kids with autism (in-bounds for best autism supports?)
You can get a list of the schools with specialized programs from xminds and you can match against your child's needs
They do provide transport if your child qualifies for a program and I don't know of any neighborhood that will have a program that will go from elementary to middle to high school for the same level of need.

West side of county. All the amenities and activities, therapies, all of that is on that side of town.

If it's HFA/Aspergers type of profile - Diamond elementary, but you still need to be placed there via IEP, simply being in-bounds is not enough.

Bells Mill Elementary School in Potomac has a special program.
Give them a call.

It would help to know how your child’s autism presents and what types of support you seek.

Are you looking for a self contained program? You don't get preference for those based on where you live. Also schools that are great for some kids are not supportive of others. Autism is a very large spectrum.

Yes I’ve checked on the special needs forum and in schools forums, but want to ask here in case anyone knows where we should target our home search. Thanks!
