No offense to GSA professionals, but do they have the technical skill set to evaluate complex DoD procurements?

What about DoD IDIQ contracts? Is GSA handling these now?

This doesn’t even make any sense. I don’t think GSA has enough personnel to do this.

Omg. This is going to suck. I’m at a unit under a cabinet agency and just dealing with the main agency is a nightmare! Can you imagine how poorly things will be with GSA micromanaging procurement.

They must be doing this so that the party in power can have major graft opportunities. The party in power can throw contracts at corporate donors without having to do pesky technical evaluations.

They did think it through and the whole purpose is to shut everything down, so there is no government at all.

So one CO will now work with 785 CORs? Everything will be automated? Sounds like a lot of COs will be laid off.

I don't know if it's legal, but it means there will be no more procurement. Like canceling credit cards and requiring a Secretary to authorize all contracts, the federal government is no longer able to work at all.

Maximum efficiency.

Is that even legal? Is there any law or regulation that gives GSA that authority to do this?

So how is this going to work exactly? Are they going to fire most 1102s???? When I need laptops or professional services, I’ll just fire off a package to GSA?
