They are all in open bays

They have three separate rooms - two are isolation rooms for babies that are a little more fragile or sick, and one is the high tech room that looks like operating room. The NICU is split in two - one side has babies in open cots, and the other side has babies mostly in those covered isolation bubble things. So mostly if everything is going okay - the baby will be in one or the other open room.

Does MedStar Georgetown’s NICU have private rooms for babies, or are they all in an open bay?
