I’ve done Seville and Granada (and Malaga, which I know you were not planning on). Both wonderful places. You will need less time in Granada than Seville. We arrived early in Granada via train, did the Alhambra in the afternoon, hot chocolate and shopping the next morning and were out of there. Plenty of time. We did Seville in three days but I could have easily geeked another day or two.

The food was spectacular everywhere.

Loved Sevilla and Cadiz; went as a grad student. Loved it. Regretted not hopping over to Gibraltar.

Italy and Spain during the Holy week leading up to Easter is a big no no it looks like. I might have to postpone to May or June.

How is the weather in May and June? Better to brave the crowds during Holy week or go later when it is hotter?

The Semana Santa processions are pretty amazing and worth going to see alone. I travelled in Andalucia in the week before and after Easter and it was a great time to walk around, hang out and people watch as well as visit the usual touristy sites.

Absolutely! It is amazing. The Mesquita is fabulous, but there is a lot more too. There is a fast train between Seville and Cordoba too, which makes it easy.

Easily 2 days each plus travel-unlike others, not a huge fan of Morocco.

If you have been through customs already in Seville, do you just waltz through to Gibraltar or do you need a visa since it is UK territory?

Been to Granada and Sevilla, but not Morocco, but I would love to go.

I love the Andalusia area.

I was reading up and many say the free show in the square was better than the paid shows.

The other thread about the ferry between Spain and Morocco piqued my interest and now I want to visit these places some time.

Anyone been to Andalusia region of Spain and Morocco and how many days would you need for the four places I mention?

If you have been, what are the must sees besides these:

Granada - Alhambra
Seville - Plaza de España, Royal Alcazar, La Giralda and Cathedral

Tangier - Kasbah, Medina
Chefchaouen - Medina, visit souk. Stay the night or go back to Tangier.
