If you have to use crazy rhetoric to make your point, maybe you don't have one. Crate training is good for all dogs, of all breeds, and provides a safe place for a dog to be in the event of an emergency.

And this isn't "eaten". At all. He got bit. That's not "mauling" or "being eaten". At all. That's a dog bite. Unfortunate, but not even remotely "eaten".

Actually I just looked at more pictures and it looks to me like a pit - boxer mix. So bite strength may have been greater than an average boxer. But clearly trauma background that was triggered by a pretty normal residential family life issue. Glad his kids were not there and his friends were able to help him get to ER quickly.

My money says that dog showed a dozen signs the inexperienced owner who thought a stern talking to was appropriate dog discipline simply didn't have the education or experience to recognize. Especially since the only person the dog was aggressive toward was him. He left it in the house with his wife, unleashed and uncontained, while loading up the kids, and their doors just... blew open somehow? Great. Now we've got "killer boxers who just snap"... except we don't. We continue to have stupid owners making bad decisions about dog ownership and handling. So obviously it had to be a pit mix, because that's the only explanation (that doesn't require the owner/handler taking responsibility for the mess they made).

I'm glad his kids didn't have to suffer physically for his stupidity. Sad that they'll lose their pet, and possibly have dog-related fears/trauma now.

Some of y'all shouldn't own dogs. You don't know what you don't know, and it's dangerous for the dogs, for you, for your family members, and for the public.

This is horrifying. This is an in shape man in his prime. The dog he said he’s with all day every day went bonkers after a smoke alarm and tried to kill him — twice.

Mr Lowe has given the dog back to the adoption agency as he doesn’t trust it around his kids. He ought to sue the agency for fraud. This is not a “boxer”!
