I used to post 1-2 pix per year of my kids. Now FB feels gross and I don't want to share my personal content at all.

In my 20s I was that person posting 100s of pix a year, so many "going out" nights and whatnot.

I own a social media agency and post zero pictures or information about my kids.

It’s WAY too risky. AI is leading to deepfake porn, along with scams where they clone a loved one’s voice and call you saying they are being held hostage. Soon they’ll have AI video to accompany the scams.

I’ve also consulted with law enforcement with catching predators and criminals on social media. Predators will have literally thousands of images of children saved on their computers, many gathered from social media.

Just not worth it. Text the pictures to grandma.

None. I have a Fb profile with a landscape picture. I don’t post any pictures of my children or our family at all. I purely use my account for school and activity groups and info.

Agree, but most people are attention seekers and get hooked on the dopamine rush of getting "likes" and whatnot.

Government created social media sites like FB to lure in the people. Excellent data mining.

Nothing. Youngest will have different rules as well due to AI image issues. My FAANG friends all say this is very real and while they already lean in the direction of not posting much they are super serious about no personal images.

Oldest Adult DD has a largeish insta. Nothing suggestive, but I wish she would delete it.

I've never been a huge social media poster, but I stopped posting completely about three years ago and really don't miss it.

"My niece told me today that she's gay. She said I am the only person she has ever told." Some people just air EVERYTHING on social media. In this example, the poster waited a few hours before sharing it with the world, anonymous or not, their heads just live in social media and have a constant 'what will my post say?' aura on their minds.

With AI using faces for porn, you REALLY need to blur your kids' faces, people.

We were just on a family vacation at the end of Feb so I posted a couple pics from that. Before that the last time I'd posted a pic of DS was a picture of him and DH dressed for a Zombie hunt event we did around Halloween. Then summer pics. I actually post a lot less than I thought I did.

Curious how much you post about your family and especially kids on your personal social media outlets. I have a couple friends that hardly ever post any pictures of there kids and when they do, they put smiling face over there kids face and never post there name. Then on the other end of spectrum I have some that post constantly about everything including names, where there kids go to school, sports teams and positions, and pictures including in sleep atire which is just underwear or a pull-up. I think both ends are a little extreme. I'd say I fall somewhere in between.
