Gabapentin and trazodone may be better options. Talk with your veterinarian.

How long is your flight? I don't think Sileo is effective for longer periods, I think it's meant for shorter triggers like thunderstorms or 20 minutes of fireworks.

I feel like your best solution is a heavy sedative dose.

Sileo is for noise sensitivity, not generalized reactivity. I would make an appointment with a veterinary behaviorist if you have time before travel. There is likely a better drug.

No experience, but some advice: always test your drug strategy long before you need it on a plane. If you and your vet decide that this is an appropriate route, make sure they prescribe enough for a couple of tests. Give this to your pet when you have a "home day" and don't need to go anywhere so you can observe how they react. Then, if that goes well, take it for a test drive at a location where your dog might ordinarily react. Get a sense of how much this helps (if it does), and how long you can reasonably expect it to last.

I definitely wouldn't rely on new meds for the first time mid-flight!

Will be taking a flight with a small reactive dog (people, other dogs, noise). Cannot risk getting kicked off the plane. Do not want to leave them home, subject to boarding stress or petsitters.

Sileo sounds like it could be the solution. Anyone have direct experience with this medication-alone or in combination with other meds?
