I’ve also only been in winter to ski. Just make sure to eat as much as you can-ice cream, cream puffs, cheese, king crab, soup curry, etc. Hokkaido is like the “bread basket” of Japan!

One of the heaviest snowfall regions in the world. Beautiful in winter and spring but you might get snowed in.

I don’t know if you’ll find anybody on DCUM who’s been to Hokkaido recently, but if not, you should check out the TripAdvisor forums. They are usually very helpful, If you take something that has been posted within the last few years.

Best things to do there?
We only have 2 days. Going with kids and parents so both young and old. Lavender field? Milk farm? Draft horse racing?
