I also used to teach for Kaplan, and second this.

But would add that what the class really buys you is structure and some extra (Kaplan-generated) practice tests. There were no "strategies," "tricks," etc. taught in the course that you couldn't get out of the standard Kaplan book for the same test.

I did Strategy Prep about 5 years ago. They met by Farragut West for two nights a week for maybe 6 weeks. I did all of the homework and practice tests, so was pretty diligent. It got me the score I wanted and the school I wanted.
