Any interest in Cancun?

Couples in Negril was great for this. You do have a bus ride once you get in country, but we found it to be smooth and it was great once we were at the hotel.

Not interested in VBRO or Air BnB. Thank you!

I would avoid DR like the plague. Isn't this the same island where people died from food poisoning and also carbon monoxide in their hotels (different instances)?

+1

I would not travel to the DR. Too many other good options out there that do not share DR's problems.

If you are a Costco member, go through their travel dept. You'll get all kinds of credits and upgrades, won't spend a lot, and have Costco support if anything goes wrong

Half Moon is wonderful. I like the old cottages right along the beach. Meal Plans are great. Food great.

Half Moon in Montego Bay. I don’t usually recommend MB but half moon is lovely and close to the airport.

Couples Swept Away. Adult-only, all inclusive. They have a few resorts in Jamaica, but we like the Negril one best.

Direct flight into Montego. And you can drink the water (unlike DR and Mex).

Baha Mar, but the Hyatt will have more kids. Easy option from DC with a non stop via American form DCA. Book dinner now.

If you don't need a beach with sand, I can highly recommend The Caves in Negril, Jamaica. https://www.thecaveshotel.com/

You can't be nervous with heights or have mobility issues or dislike steep stairs though.

Why not Mexico? Playa Mujueres?
