Subject: Semaglutide barely working
Two things:
1) You have lost 5lbs in 2 months and the expected weight loss according to Novo Nordisk is between 1/2 to 1 pound per week. You are right in there. So the medication is working exactly as expected as opposed to "barely working." Not sure why you think experiencing the recommended amount of loss = barely working.
2) Even if you hadn't lost any at all yet it is normal for people to not lose weight on it when they are not yet at a therapeutic dose. If you are getting compounded, which I assume you are, given that you said semaglutide instead of Wegovy, I'm not sure how the dosing schedule works. But with brand name Wegovy the dosing is 1 month of 0.25, one month of 0.5, one month of 1 and then one month of 1.7 which is a therapeutic dose, and then up to 2.4 a month after that if 1.7 doesn't work. So given that you have only been on it two months, and are unlikely to even be at a therapeutic dose yet.
So this "It's barely working" stuff is just ignorant and dramatic for multiple reasons. Did your doctor explain what to expect on this medication?

If you don’t mind, OP, were you a skinny kid? Or an overweight kid? Just curious. Among my friends, the ones who were skinny kids have had easy success on wegovy, unlike those who weren’t skinny kids. Just wondering.

I am. I have increased according to instructions. It's like I have side effects with no benefits. Tirzepatide is too expensive for me to use long term.

Subject: Semaglutide barely working
Started two months ago and I have lost 5lbs total. Is this normal? I am experiencing nausea and fatigue but not much else. Appetite is not curbed at all. I am eating better and less because I am thinking about it and not because I am not hungry, but the weight is falling off so slow.
