Subject: Funeral dress for twenty year old that’s not too short, age appropriate (young style) and not too revealing?
Disagree with DVF because its so expensive, but I've found black dresses at Lands End, LL Bean and other "frumpy" stores that are longer than something from Forever 21 type teen stores.
Or Amazon has a huge selection - I recently wore this basic black Amazon dress to a funeral.

Does such a thing exist? Yes, just go look at the women’s section at Macy’s! Even TJ Maxx has dresses that would work for this!

Not everyone's families are culturally of that mindset, PP. We have East Asian and European grandparents and relatives and had to go to some funerals in both locales. Every time, it was black formalwear, no exceptions, even for kids. I am sure some American families are like this as well.
Indeed. Especially if you're immediate family of the deceased.

Because people don't keep church appropriate funeral attire around anymore. So they have to go buy it when the occasion arises.

Not everyone's families are culturally of that mindset, PP. We have East Asian and European grandparents and relatives and had to go to some funerals in both locales. Every time, it was black formalwear, no exceptions, even for kids. I am sure some American families are like this as well.

I have a heavier weight Boden ponte sheath dress for winter funerals (knee-length, paired with black hose), and a lightweight cotton, A-line ruffly J Crew dress for summer ones (midi length, below knee). Both black, no plunging necklines. They would both be appropriate for 20 year olds.
