At some point, Republicans need to wake up to the fact that Russia does not negotiate in good faith.

Didn't Ukraine attacked Moscow with drones yesterday during the "ceasefire"? I thought that was a dumb move on their part. What did they expect would happen?

Ukraine was without intel and was getting bombed by Russia when they struck Moscow.

Then the ceasefire happened. Do you know how to negotiate?

No, that's not what happened.

OP doesn't get it. After Russia agrees and both parties sign it will stop. Then phase two...it's a process. So far Trump has gotten a LOT further than Mr. Magoo (AKA Biden).

Trump has made zero progress other than to become a laughing stock of the world and alienate everyone, horrify people who previously thought he was mildly normal.
He's utterly ineffectual, foolish, childish, humiliatingly poor diplomacy skills and generally screwing the whole thing up WAY worse.

DP
I had never heard that Russia agreed to a ceasefire.

Ukraine and the US agreed to a ceasefire and US agreed to give Ukraine intel again.

Exactly. It's a process so the ball is in Russia's court right now.

What is Russia agreeing to? Stop the war that they started and are winning? Why? What incentive do they have to do that? What are the US and Europe offering? What is China offering? What is Ukraine offering?

^ I guess unless one of two things, neither of which seems very likely:

- Putin is more tired of being at war than he lets on and is just looking for a face-saving way to get out, or

- Putin is actually afraid of what happens if the Europeans get more involved

Otherwise, what's in it for him?

It a continued end to the war occurs the far left will have to come up with some other lie of why Trump failed.
If he accomplishes this he really should get the peace prize. Heaven knows Obama didn't do anything to deserve his, he was even surprised, lol.

Ukraine, in good faith, offered a 30 day ceasefire.

In return, Russia launched a wave of missiles, among its targets blowing up a Barbados-flagged cargo ship bringing wheat from Odesa to Algeria.
