I don’t get how they are supposed to put a rif list together by Friday. When they won’t even know the number of people who take VERA until Friday. Makes me think they don’t care and will continue to cut

A date hasn’t been mentioned in any emails, which is so bush league. But I’ve been told it’s by April 19 for VERA retirement.

Yep! Our agency's HR office keeps saying they've gotten no VERA details from HHS except to find out who's interested. More info about the VSIP is supposed to come out tomorrow because apparently not everyone at our agency is eligible (which would be true regardless because you have to have so many years of service, etc.).

I’m curious to see how many will actually take it. The NIH VERA Zoom session last week had overwhelming interest and several people complained that they could not log on.

Reorganization at NIH is just getting started. It remains to be seen how many will avail of VERA/VSIP.

Yes, that's the general HHS guidance, but doesn't answer the question of what the deadline is for when people need to take retirement or leave the agency. For example, SEC has to retire by 4/30, whereas SSA has until 12/31.

If the GOP unite they can get it done . Looking at current scenario it’s possibility and they will avert shut down but let’s see

The number I’ve heard for the past couple of weeks is 2500, which is in line with this article saying 3400, and the fired probationaries coming off that total brings it to about 2500.

Shutdown is anyone’s guess now. The House’s proposed CR has to get nearly every single GOP vote, but has anyone read/heard how the Senate is viewing this CR?
