For anyone confused, this is not Raúl Grijalva who has cancer and has been absent from Congress for a year.

Congressman Turner had cancer and declared he was cancer-free in 2022.

It’s odd that it wasn’t more widely reported. He died after attending president Trump’s speech the other night.

I think we all died a little after hearing that speech ….

Politicians tend to repress rather than represent, so you were right the first time with the Freudian Slip.

Is that the guy that was expelled from the event?

No that was Al Green who’s also elderly and Black and repressing Texas. Rep. Sylvester Turner died, he was the longtime mayor of Houston who just got elected to Congress.

Starting a couple days ago (around March 6) I noticed U.S. flags at U.S. government buildings at half-staff. I wonder why. I tried searching but come up with nothing. If you know please tell me. Thank you.
