Do you spend much on Amazon or WF? You won’t beat the 5% rewards on a Prime credit card for those.

I would do Chase Sapphire Reserve for travel.

Cap 1 has limited sign up bonus now where you earn 75k points and also a $250 travel credit. If you don’t have a Chase Sapphire yet, I’d consider cap 1. Think the annual fee is $95. I had the higher end X and just signed my husband up for one. Transferred points to Virgin Red and booked Europe for the summer.

Chase transfers 1:1 to Hyatt and Marriott but the average Hyatt hotel costs significantly fewer points to redeem so the redemption value is much higher. Hyatt has had a few devaluations but it still has a ton of sweet spots.

We have the X and we've racked up 200K points in the past two years, can't wait to use them to travel overseas!

It’s not great for domestic carriers but the refunds on travel are good and super easy to use.

What is your intended use for the points? The max value is by transferring to one of their airline partners. Is there one in particular that you think you will utilize?
