Several days just walking around Old San Juan including the forts, wandering into churches etc. The free walking tour was very enjoyable and we wandered around the old cemetery for quite a while. The Art Museum in the Santurce neighborhood is very good if you like art.
I highly recommend the Puerto Rican sampler platter at Devearadura restaurant- it's a modest restaurant but the food was excellent and the platter was great.
We went snorkeling off the beach at Playita el Condito. It was by far the least exciting snorkeling I've ever done, but still enjoyable and the guys running the operation were great. We swam with some turtles and saw a manatee- those were the highlights.
Wow, I feel like we had the same exact itinerary! Except for the snorkeling part.
I also enjoyed the walking tour by Flavors of San Juan which was not free, but gave a great overview of the history of San Juan. I also really liked eating at Metropol, it was satisfying food including ceviche, garlic shrimp, roast chicken, etc.
