Same. I still talk to colleagues about an old Principal we had 10+ years ago. She completely ran everyone out and ruined the morale. She was promoted to CO and is still there btw. Now I’m working at a school where Admin treats teachers like colleagues, not subordinates, and it makes a world of difference.
I will never feel like CO, the BOE, or anyone who works outside the classroom truly understands what we do. I also agree that there’s crookedness, lack of transparency and lack of accountability the higher up you go.
