If you’re doing Pilates at a gym, you’re gonna have all sorts of body types. It’s not like a private Pilates studio where the Mom’s come in in their golden goose sneakers, with their Stanley’s after parking their X5.

That being said. A Pilates teacher at a gym may not have as much experience, so please be sure to let them know about any injuries, especially to shoulders and neck because you can get very injured easily.

Just go! You’ll feel better. And everyone is mainly just worrying about themselves.

Pilates is so boring and repetitive.

Basically as I lose weight, I was going to invest in Pilates classes.

But maybe I should lose some first before doing that? I have done reformer Pilates before, but I was skinnier. I also remember a lot of crunching the body, and my belly is in the way right now.

Is there a goal weight / bmi I should get to before I start Pilates at a reformer gym?

Be real.

Some of you might say, just go. But … I have a sense that it’s “skinny women allowed. Come for the toning.”
