I used to be an overpacker but I have really slimmed down. You really need to have some staple pieces that you can re-wear.
Bottoms - jeans, black flowy pants, one black dress
Tops - tanks and shirts that all match the bottoms and intermix
same for daytime - a few bottoms and a few tops that go in different combos.
one pair nice shoes, one pair sneakers to walk in and if warm, you can one pair of sandels or flipflops.
That's it.

3-4 formal gowns for evening events, and 7 days of recreational clothing. Swimware if desired. Basic toiletries. Don't forget any medications or similar necessities.
