Wow. Barring emergencies or extended stays, most of us do.

My dog’s pee can kill the grass in our backyard (generally only when we don’t get any precipitation for a while), but his poop doesn’t hurt the grass because we pick it up immediately. He’s a big boy (79 lbs), so he’s got a big bladder. Maybe really small dogs are less likely to kill grass?

Depends on what they are fed. Many additives in dog food will definitely kill grass.

I keep my dog to the tree box.

My dog will not poop in my backyard. So he gets 2 to 3 walks a day, every day. We don't allow him to poop on anyone's lawn, and we always pick it up.

I taught my dog to pee on command, so she pees on my lawn at the start of our walk. But she needs to walk to get the bowels moving, sorry. I bet you don't poop on command either.

I have never noticed our lawn damaged by dog poop or pee, across multiple dogs. I know there are people who have this problem but honestly I think it's their weak grass. Plant something more robust.

There isn't always yard/green space in front, around or behind the homes, but if you have that sort of space (your condo's green space for example) and also have a dog,
why can't you train your dog to poop on your lawn instead of going on a walk to poop on someone else's? The walk is for other reasons too but dogs will typically poop when on a walk.
