Because you never got an allergic reaction or milia from a cream that's otherwise good for any other part of your face or body.

You should be fine with something that's non comedogenic. Surprisingly, vaseline is non comedogenic. I put it on top of my moisturizer a couple times a week to lock in the moisture.

Vaseline, a petroleum product, can be contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Studies show that exposure to PAHs eg skin contact over extended periods of time is associated with cancer. As such, the European Union classifies petrolatum a carcinogen and restricts its use in cosmetics. So use at your own risk.

I agree. I only use Lanolin when I need a heavy duty occlusive barrier.

Rfk Jr, your post is a bit alarmist. EWG gives vaseline a very low risk safety profile.

I like the vanicream... not the face one but the moisturizing cream in a big pump. I hadn't considered it because I thought it was meant for the body, but my derm gave me a sample to use on my entire face and I find it works well.

I really like Obagi's eye cream - it's smooth and doesn't pill (for me)

What are you guys having these days for 45+ skin/eye cream? Don’t have a lot of wrinkles, but want to keep that area moisturized. Problem is I get clogged pores/ milia what’s the most dick with some of the really thick creams. Anyone found a good solution who also gets clogged pores?
