We had an Uber driver cause a massive wreck in the carpool line at our school recently. Obviously that's a problem with the driver not the service, but there's no way to know what kind of driver you're going to get. This was at an elementary school so that's a somewhat different situation, but you'd need to assess whether your teenager could deal with an unsafe situation.
