I just bought tickets for Parade at KC and looked at Kimberley Akimbo at the National and the prices were twice as much at the National!

Why don't you just ask then? Riverdance for my age group has a reputation of being a bit cheesy, but there's also a degree to which people might find that fun.

However, yes, the recent politicization of the KC is also an issue with them canceling Eureka Day and thr Gay Men's chorus and booking that utterly ridiculous Jan 6 choir.

I have tickets to Parade that I bought ages ago and I'm just assuming that one's getting canceled too.

Anywhere but Kennedy center. Too politically charged now, plus there was a bomb threat recently that probably will be repeated.

It's a bad idea to go to the Kennedy Center now that Trump took it over. You're not going to get a second date after that.

Thanks. I didn’t clarify. We have gotten to know each other. We’ve met for coffee once or twice and lots of talks on phone etc. guess this is our first “night on the town” so to speak. We will have dinner first possibly at the KC restaurant. If that’s any good ?

A first date? No. You can’t talk and get to know each other.
2nd or 3rd date sure.

Is this someone you know already or more of a.blind date situation? A show doesn't really give much opportunity to talk or get to know someone. Riverdance is a specific vibe and without knowing someone that isn’t something I'd book.

No it is not good for a first date. You need something more casual for a first date.

I think a first date should give you an opportunity to get to know each other. Watching a show doesn't do that, but maybe you can get a drink after?

I like folk dance and spectacle.

Tastes differ.

I suggest offering a couple choices.

I'd enjoy that for a date. Never seen them before and I like Irish music.

Is it any good for a first date? Trying to come up with ideas for a date with someone I just met. Like the idea of a night at Kennedy center but not sure about classical music or a musical. We are in our 50’s.
