The current forecast is showing that it’s stopping snowing Thursday morning. Runway should be fine Friday morning- potentially issue if there’s an issue with an incoming plane.

I flew last week (Thurs), and there was a complete groundstop for several hours for a low ceiling, and there wasn’t even snow

Yes. We had flights canceled in early January during that snowstorm.

Wondering the same myself. Looks like snow might arrive around mid day Wednesday and heavy that evening. Scheduled to land at DCA 2:45PM so IDK how to handle this?

No one knows. So many factors involved beside just is the airport open. Where is the plane coming from and can it even get there? Can the crew get there? The airport being open is just one tiny piece of the puzzle.

I rarely travel these days. If we do get snow on Wednesday (say, 5-7"), what is the likelihood that most flights in/out of DCA get cancelled vs. delayed?
