I am going to San Francisco this weekend and would love to check out the parade, which is this Sunday. I see the $45 bleacher seats for sale but I don't think we necessarily want to stay for all 3.5 hours so I was looking for a suggestion of where to go for viewing. I am not aware of what kind of crowds are there but I assume it will be big, given the prominence of the community and the renown of the parade. Can we just turn up to view about 30 minutes before? And maybe in the beginning or middle of the route? I assume it gets more crowded closer to the end/Chinatown. Thanks for any tips.
