You can go to any dealer for that, not just where you bought it.

Idk, I’ve never gone back to the dealer for anything. I live near great mechanics. But I also don’t think you’re ever required to go back to the specific dealer you bought from like for a recall or whatever? I mean how would that possibly work? People move and cars move.

Costco will be within a few hundred dollars of “best” and requires no effort. Worth it, IMO, if the model is included. We walked out of the dealership within 3 hours of walking in, keys in hand, paying under invoice on an accord.

Decide what you want and email them all asking for the best price or negociate.

Think about what dealership is convenient for warranty services st least. Do any have shuttles? You can usually get a price match or close. Hassling with a dealer 20 miles from home for years is not worth a couple of hundred dollars.

Yes, if you want the best deal it takes a lot of effort. I spent a week getting the price down on my last car. They make it hard on purpose.

We have bought 2 (Odyssey and now CRV) from Herson's. Used USAA's car buying service. Avoid Ourisman's in Bethesdsa if you don't want to pay more

I think the best approach is to figure out exactly what car and trim and colors you want (like all the options that will work for you). Draw a circle you’re willing to drive and call all the dealerships in the circle. Give them your list and see what they offer you. Do one more round where you take the lowest offer to all the others and then go with the lowest.

If you want, you could expand the circle and see who will deliver.

You want “quick and easy” or “best price “?

For quick and easy, use a car buying service (like Costco) and get a decent yet quick deal done.

For best price, you need to do some work. Find the OTD price you are willing to pay. Go to Edmunds to find out what people are paying. Go to a no haggle dealership to find out the price they are charging. This is your ceiling. After your research, find your OTD price on the exact car you want. Contact (any/all) Honda dealers and tell them this is the price you will pay OTD for that car. Don’t budge.

We are in the market for a new car -- and looking at the Pilot. Which Honda dealerships offer the most competitive deals (on financing costs and out the door price)? Would appreciate any tips on how to get the best deal.
