I have the Pro2 Apple AirPods and can track them in Find My. I can also make them play a sound (when in the case) to help find them. I don’t know if earlier models are trackable though.

I use Beats and I can track them (in find my device). I have the kind that are in ear buds (not over the ear).

They are the easiest thing to use - I have no problems connecting to various devices and the sound is great.

I have soundcore earbuds that I LOVE. They were $30 and the sound quality is great. I’ve also owned AirPods and I do not think the performance justifies the price. There are much cheaper options that work just as well, even my DH had to admit he doesn’t hear a difference between his AirPods and my soundcore earbuds.

I use a pair of Probuds my employer gifted to me. I use them every day for listening to podcasts on my IPhone while I walk . They’ve lasted about 3 years so far. ( I only wear one at a time when walking for safety reasons)

I used the original noise canceling AirPods for about 3 years. I booked a trip to Europe and decided, because of the distance, to “upgrade” to Bose over the ear headphones. I don’t recall the exact model but they were the latest and greatest. I used them on a trial test run on a trip to Florida. I was extremely disappointed in their performance over the AirPods. I returned them to Bose and, as a replacement, I purchased the 2nd gen AirPods Pro. These offered a noticeable improvement in noise canceling over my originals.
I’m very happy with this upgrade and appreciate how small and easy to pack these are versus any full size headset.

I always thought the AirPods were overpriced; couldn’t actually be worth the money. I always bought cheapish earbuds (70-100 bucks). My work bought me a set of AirPods for zoom meetings and they’re amazing. The noise cancellation is night and day better than anything else I’ve tried. I agree; save up and get the AirPods.

Hey Beats poster, have they improved the product? My first pair of over the ears lasted me 2 years then 1 died. Bought a second pair because I loved how secure they were in my ear on runs but the second pair barely lasted--died right after the warrantee expired. Didn't make $ sense to have them repaired.

AirPods and the like don't stay in my ears. When did you buy your Beats? I may try again if they are "new and improved."

I bought these as disposable ear pods and I’m pretty impressed for what they are:

https://www.rtings.com/headphones is probably one of the most comprehensive sites I've seen that lets you narrow down the options to features you really need/want.

I'm currently using Anker SoundCore A40s based on the data on the rtings site.

Don't do airbuds. Get the Beats over the ear ones. They're great. I even accidentally left the buds in a pocket of pants tossed in the washing machine. They still worked like new.

NYT Wirecutter just did a review of earbuds and their budget pick was the EarFun Free 2S for $40. It wouldn’t let me share a gift article, sorry!

I want to buy a pair of earbuds to use when I work out at the gym for music or connecting to the treadmill tv. I have an iPhone but don't want to spend hundreds of $$ - so no EarPods. Any recommendations for something in the $100 or less range that is decent, won't hurt my ears, is easy to use and set up and works with an iPhone? I know that the less I spend the worse the sound quality and I'm ok with that - I'm using an old corded ear thing now that is not the best.
