Look into school pyramids in Henrico's west end.

Avoid Richmond City Schools no matter what.

I taught in Henrico for two years over a decade ago and I think most of the schools there were pretty good. Richmond City schools don’t have a great reputation, with the exception of Maggie Walker Governor’s School.

I'm amused someone said Freeman is the only HS worth considering. That wasn't true 35 years ago when I was there!

We moved from Henrico to Fairfax and preferred the Henrico schools. It’s been a while but there was a lot we liked about Richmond & we could get to DC when needed.

In Chesterfield County, Bettie Weaver, old Hundred and Woolly ES (and the zoned MS/HS for each) are good.

In Henrico County anything that goes to Deep Creek HS.

Avoid Richmond City Schools unless you would be convertible here with DCPS.

Are you committed to Richmond proper?
