We’ve actually found that the regular diapers hold up better overnight than any of the pull-ups do.

its like magical. MY DS used to wet the bed almost every night. Last year he was dry about 0-2 times a month. Maybe he was dry 15 times in the year. Last month he only had like 5 accidents, and was dry every night this moth.

Parents seem more concerned about this than the kids do. I’ve babysat for kids that use the nighttime pull-ups and they just put them on at bedtime without any problem. One kid was in fifth grade, it’s a very common thing.

DS just turned 8 and still wears pullups. We take him to the bathroom before we go to bed (around 10pm or 11pm) and it's 50/50 that he wakes up with a full wet pullup. Sometimes the bed is wet as well. He just had his annual checkup and the pediatrician said some kids take longer. Nothing wrong, just something we have to deal with longer than others. It can be frustrating but we don't shame him and have him help us put pajamas and bedding in the washing machine and we go about our day. Good luck, I know what you are going through!

If you have other kids, make sure they know it's off limits to tease him about it and that they never tell anyone outside of your family. I was very concerned that my older kid might blab to others or say something mean in a fight, and I made it clear there would be dire consequences if that happened.
My DS was in the beginning of 7th grade before it stopped. We had seen all the doctors and were assured nothing was wrong and he would outgrow. We did have pills he could take for sleepovers that suppressed the need to pee and kept him dry. One day it just was done and never happened again.

Please look into constipation. This type of issue can manifest as nighttime wetness even if there don’t appear to be daytime issues.

NP. He will outgrow it in time, and once it happens, there will be no accidents, even if they drink a lot shortly before bed. The majority of kids are dry at night at 8 because their bodies are producing adequate amounts of antidiuretic hormone. But for some kids, it takes longer for their bodies to produce enough of this hormone.
My DC wasn't dry until about age 10, and I know several other kids who weren't dry until that age. One was a friend's kid, and she kept reassuring me it would happen with my kid. And it did, just as she, and, more importantly, our pediatrician said it would.

Our 8 year old son still wets the bed every night . We have tried everything under the sun to get him dry all of my other patent friends say thier kids have never done this . Doctor said he will outgrow it with time . I was hoping to see if any other parents on here still deal with this or have dealt with this I could show him when it quit or thiers kids his age still dealing with it maybe he would feel better abour himself .
