Bowser should be considering the surrounding school districts because the MAJORITY of DCPS teachers work in those surrounding counties, meaning that just because it's safe in DC proper, roads are dangerous elsewhere. No one should risk their lives to get to work, but Bowser doesn't seem to care about employee safety.

If DCPS opens on Tuesday it will be with no aftercare or after school activities. I wouldn’t be surprised if we are closed Tuesday, it’s supposed to start around noon.

As of Sunday afternoon model predictions:
Wednesday is the only day you can count on to be closed. Snow is supposed to accumulate Tuesday night into Wednesday. It may fall all day on Tuesday, but is not expected to accumulate because of warm temperatures, so maybe schools will be cautious and early release, or just cancel after-school activities on Tuesday. Monday models will hopefully bring more clarity into the timing of onset. Don't know about a delay on Thursday, where we're expecting some sort of wintry mix precipitation - if it's cold enough to freeze whatever's not plowed... maybe it will ensure a delay.
